I had my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday. Only 1 was impacted (in the top). Yesterday and this morning the pain was not that bad, but now the pain is worse. What kind of pain is normal to expect?

It is normal for the pain to peak on post op day #3 and then gradually improve on a daily basis. So at your stage, I would not worry about anything being not normal. good luck with the healing.

Take your pain meds and relax. You will be fine.

yes, the pain/swelling peaks usually the 2nd or 3rd day.

You’re fine. Yesterday it probably didn’t hurt as bad because your mouth was still numb. If you get to the 3-5th days and it’s still getting worse, you should probably go back to the dentist. Use cold packs on your face (frozen peas, whatever), it’ll make you feel better and the swelling will go down.

I just got mine taken out last week and I’m at the fifth day.. not too much pain, my jaw is still pretty stiff though. Oh and if you have problems opening your mouth and that makes it hard to brush your teeth, I actually used the Crest Wisp things to brush my teeth (they’re like little bitty toothbrushes for on-the-go). Good luck :)
